Bio

Milo & Rachel Deering have been making music together for the past 18 years. Since the early 90s, they have been creating their own niche in the Texas music industry. “Rachel Goetz & Milo Deering”, the eponymous titled CD was released in 1992 and garnered Rachel the coveted honor of being named "New Folk Finalist" at the Kerrville Music Festival in 1993. She and Milo went on to form the country/bluegrass band Ghostown and received much critical acclaim for their CD "Rachel Goetz & Ghostown." Milo, a seasoned multi-instrumentalist, has lent his talent to scores of recordings, most notably Lee Ann Rimes, Jack Ingram, Steve Holy, Trout Fishing in America and Slim Whitman. Milo has appeared as a member of Blue Country (Ms. Rimes band) on The Tonight Show, The Today Show, The Grammy Awards, The Billboard Music Awards, Nashville Now, the TNN Awards and The View. As a member of Jack Ingram’s “Beat Up Ford Band”, he has appeared on Austin City Limits and in the Sandra Bullock film Hope Floats. In 2003, Milo & Rachel produced "Milo Deering’s All Acoustic Christmas Jam" which was recognized by The Dallas Morning News as one of “The Best Christmas CD Picks of the Season”. The talented couple continue to celebrate the release of their latest CD, "Texas Jam," an inspired compilation of original tunes and classics by fellow Texas songwriters. As Milo says in the liner notes, "Listen to this CD and you’ll hear a spoonful of Bob Wills, a sprinkling of Flatt and Scruggs, a dash of Doc Watson. You might even notice a pinch of old classic Looney Tunes cartoon music. These are just a few of our favorite ingredients. We stir ‘em all up with some great Texas songwriting and there it is…the Texas Jam."
