Bio
I was born with a desire to create music. I remember "making up" songs as a little girl. As I grew into my teen years, I grew passionate about feeding my hunger with such artists as The Beatles, Carole King, Elton John, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Motown-sound and lots of jazz.I went out to Oakland, Ca at age 18, studied jazz and R&B in college there. After college, I did keys/vocals in a few bands, covering the "hits" and working on some original stuff too. For several years after that, my focus was on parenting, leaving less time to devote to writing music. More recently, it has been my time to "hit it" harder than ever. My career in nursing has supported me well financially as I raised a family, but so many songs have emerged from my soul mirroring life in their own beautiful way. Currently, I am working on preparing many of those for more serious production/recording. My dream is to hear my songs "come to life" as they are expressed by other passionate artists. I am taking steps to make that happen....and it's about time!
