Mindbender Dead Band

Mindbender channels the energy of the late 60s/early 70s, Pigpen era Grateful Dead along with the stoner country jam sounds of the New Riders of the Purple Sage and the British psycodelia of Pink Floyd. A collective of Denver musicians join together to form the core cast of Mindbender which allows for an incredibly diverse aray of sounds and arangements that includes anything from a bluegrass string band to a full on seven piece stadium rock band! Among the members of Mindbender are, "Bassman" Sean Richmond, who provides the backbone and groove with an early era short scale thump that will have you convinced that you have been transported through time to stand front and center at the Fillmore or Avalon. "Nasty" Nate Todd can howl like Pigpen tosses accusations of pocket pool while he leans on the Hammond to charge the room with climactic jams that are worthy of any Electric Kool-Aid party. Phil "Dr Phil Good" Dyer can ensure a silky, silky, crazy, crazy night with his Weir-like energy and bird calls that will captivate any room. John "Napoleon" Goren's strings are far from rusty and in need of a dusting, but he still makes em shine every night as he leads the crowd through a melodic space adventure that is not to be missed. "Hot Rod" Phil Dudden may very well be the "lunatic on the grass" when his head swirls as he rips through guitar licks that lay theme to a party on the dark side of the moon. "Professor" Steve Fox locks down the beat and keeps the feet moving all night long, all he needs is the mustache and youd swear it was Bill Kreutzmann on the drums.
