Biography

In 2007 Mind Like A Charity was created through the minds and abilities of Aaron Bolding, Chris and Jacob Wilbur, and Chase Jacobs. After throwing together a set list the band played just a few small shows in their first year before deciding to take a more serious interest in their music. Soon the guys began to write new material and experiment with new sounds in the underground car garage in Guthrie, Oklahoma where they would gather for practice. With their progressive rock sound, drawing from influences like Brand New, Incubus, Finch, Deftones, and Tool (Just to name a few) they were soon booking bigger shows throughout Oklahoma and entering more contests with the other local bands. Then, at the beginning of January 2009, Mind Like A Charity went into the studio and ,working with engineer and producer Henry McMinn, created what would be their first album, “Invisible Sound.” The CD was released on June 27, 2009.
Mind Like A Charity is currently hard at work booking shows and writing new material. Their short term plans include heading back into the studio sometime in early 2010 to start work on a four song EP. As for the long term, their biggest hope is to make an impact on the music scene, no matter how large or small.
