Through dint of brow, precisely executed marketing and tireless self-promotion, this group has quickly gained recognition as the premier musical act in Central Illinois and beyond. Their hope is that by pouring their very souls into every aspect of their musicianship they can share a piece of themselves with each individual and somehow impart to them a personal connection to the emotion behind the music. Original members include wordsmith Rob Ulrich, Central Illinois Guitar Center Drum-Off Champion Josh Blue behind the kit, guitarist Brad Prentice, and bassist Josh Bodeen. Early in 2006 the group expanded to include DJ Bang Nine, Central Illinois Top DJ contest and Central Illinois Guitar Center Spin-Off winner, rounding off what was already the most formidable force in music to date. Stylistically diverse, infectiously catchy (they were awarded the Most Requested Local Track of 05 in Central Illinois), and undeniably talented, Mindset Evolution has already sold out major venues throughout the Midwest, and this is just the beginning.
