Bio

Mindspine is a heavy rock band based in State College, PA. If you are looking for some hard-hitting entertainment, you can always trust Mindspine to bring vigor and sensational talent to the stage. With a unique blend of vocal harmonies, imagination, and dueling guitar and keyboard riffs, the band adds an appealing heavy twist to the local rock scene. They combine a strong and increasingly popular list of originals and a variety of modern and classic rock covers that lures the crowd to the front of the stage all night.

After State College's successful band N.Y.N.E. split apart in early 2008, singer Jason Eyer and drummer Adam Rider were determined to create a fresh project. Fast forward to January 2009, Jasons brother Dave joined the ranks, with his mastery of the keys and vocals. Erik Smakulski was chosen as the shredding guitarist and Spencer Puzak was added for the ultra-low tones. After several months of building a strong home fan base, Mindspine extended their reach to most of Centre County as well as across the Pennsylvania region. Recently, they aired on Altoonas Rock Station, Rocky 104.9, with a featured interview on the Homegrown Rocker. Mindspines most notable performance was in October 2009 at The Crocodile Rock Café where they opened for Horror-punk
legends The Misfits.

Fast forward, once more to....Febraury 2011. The resuscitation of Mindspine
comes after a mini hiatus, and a new jolt of musicianship comes from the new additions to the MindSpine Line up. David McKinley, Lead Guitar, found Drummer, Adam Rider. Within a few weeks of jamm'in w/fellow MS Keys Lead Vox Jason and his brother Dave on keys & backing vox, the band found a new power. Still in search of the last piece to the puzzle, Mandy Coover was discovered and had quickly joined the ranks. Then, TJ Seaman, Bass, was added to finalize the Mindspine team!

Mindspine is currently working on their first album including fan favorites Forgotten You and Move. We are looking to share our art and passion as far as the opportunities will take us. Stay tuned as this musical powerhouse continues to bring spine-tingling music to all.
