Mindy wins Oxford Idol In Oxford, Kansas September 9, 2006 with eleven other contestants for the title of "Oxford Idol". The Oxford Lions Club are proud to be sponsoring the 1st "Oxford Idol" a show the Oxford Lions Club put on during the Oxford's Watermelon Feed, which is also sponsored with the help of KSOK-FM 95.9, Arkansas City, Kansas Radio Station, Live Country Music. Mindy and Melissa Ramski were elated when they annouced they placed in the top five finalist, then at 6:30pm after the final performances, the judges annouced "Mindy Ramski" the winner of the first "Oxford Idol" in Oxford Kansas. Mindy was placed as a finalist after performing her sassy version of "At Last" then at the finals she performed a number from the movie "Chicago" her jazzy version of "All That Jazz" which won her the title of "Oxford Idol". Melissa Ramski placed third. Mindy won two three day passes to perform and participate at the next "Winfield Country Roundup" in 2007, Mindy will also return to Oxford to MC next years event, and will crown the next "Oxford Idol title" in September 2007. Melissa Ramski won a one day pass to the Winfield Country Roundup" both girls, earlier had the opportunity to ride in the parade and had an awesome day at the event in Oxford Kansas. - Southwest Kansas Gazette
Fifteen year old Mindy Ramski, of Ulysses Kansas has been running down tennis balls and running up high academic scores as she attends Ulysses High School. She received a varsity tennis award as a freshman and received a certificate for outstanding academic achievement. She has also been running up some impressive fund raising numbers as she is a volunteer of the American Heart Association. For all her serious activities, Ramski also likes humor and will show off her speaking talent with a humorous solo "Beauty For Sale."
Mindy performs in a talent monologue, "Beauty For Sale," presented an very important message for teens. pitching a "total makeover" to an imaginary friend, she promises to completely change their lives. They'll be irresistible, no more bouncing buns, and a three-inch increase in their bustlines. The price reasonable if considered by the inch. The auidience "loved" the humorous presentation, delivered without a flaw.

Melissa and Melinda Ramski, talented sister performers of Country and Broadway songs, will perform for the annual Lions Club District Convention in Garden City, Saturday evening March 11, 2006 at the Plaza Hotel Ballroom.
The sisters have established a reputation for quality musical performances throughout the Kansas and Oklahoma region.Both girls have recorded professionally and are seen as rising stars in the music business.They are waving their usual performance fee in recognition of the many community service projects accomplished by the Lions of Southwest Kansas.

Melinda and Melissa were able to give a special performance February 6th, 2006 for the Lions members "Valentine's Day Sweetheart Ball" @ Moffet Catering in Ulysses, Kansas.
Great Reviews-- The statements after their performances were they really enjoy the girls singing, they were excellent, many stated the girls were awesome, great, very good and one member explained that she wish they had not stopped singing, she wanted to hear more. One of Melissa's teacher's heard the news and told her how good she had done . That was so touching to Melissa that her teacher had said this to her. What a wonderful feeling Melissa said.

Mindy Ramski was born in Stuart, Florida March 29, 1989. At the age of five, Mindy and her family made a move to New Jersey allowing her to attend a magnet school of the performing arts, her many talents were being noticed. She was then encouraged to continue with her acting and singing performances, this set the stage for everything that was to follow. Two years later, her family packed up and moved to a quiet 22-acre ranch in rural Southwest, Kansas.
It was then, Mindy's realized her love for music and acting. Mindy has been singing, acting & modeling for various different venues. She has started her acting career, when she was casted in the movie,"Lost Treasure Trails" by Night Walker Films Director Randal L. Greenwood and she presently is being considered for many other movie opportunities. Mindy would like to futher her career in films and enjoys working in such movies/films: Horror, Drama, Action, Comedy, Romance, Thrillers/Mysteries, SciFi, and Musicals which is something she would enjoy.
Mindy's is very passionate about her singing a very special talent she was gifted with. She performs as a country duet with her sister Melissa Ramski also a country artist. They both are working on their first original CD together with hopes it being available this 2007 summer or fall. They both continue to impress many with their wonderful performances, and have established a reputation for quality performances throughout the Kansas and Oklahoma region.
As a senior year in high school Aug 2007, Mindy has proven to be very successful, for she has become quite an accomplished actress and was selected to play the lead role as Dorothy in The Wizard Of Oz.. The director stated and I quote, That Mindy has a very strong passionate gift for acting and singing and he felt, she had very special gifts with both, and if she continues to polish up her dancing, and continues practicing her music, then less than 18 months out of high school he predicted she could be on the next big broadway show, plus he was convinced that she had what it takes to make it in film/movies, television, and so on. That Mindy would soon be on her way, and recognized by many, as an aspiring actress."
Mindy has worked at the local televsion station in Southwest Kansas "Channel 8 Action News" as a studio assistant. She has many accomplishments and travels to many events to perform with her sister who's a country singer, and they both love to perform. Mindy has recorded a music demo CD with two cover songs "At last and Unchained Melody."
