BRIEF HISTORY: Music has always been the interest, best friend, therapy, and stress relief for Mingo. He was born in the church and as a young boy he sang in the choir. He discovered the love of playing the drums, and began his career in drumming at the age of 7. He never received lower than an A- in any of his music classes, from elementary school through college. He has been writing and copyrighting songs for the last twelve years and continues to have love and passion for all different genres of music and types of entertainment.

RECORDING CREDITS: In 1994, Mingo and Billy Pain formed the group “Raw Flow”, which was nominated “Best Rap Group” in the 1997 Boston Music Awards. They recorded over 35 songs in their years together and did numerous shows. In 1998, Raw Flow was officially over, and both emcees began working on solo projects. In 1999, Mingo released My Ride-The EP, which earned him 2000 Best Rap Artist in The Worcester Phoenix and the title track played on NBC’s Saturday morning show Just Deal. In 2001, he released the second full-length album
Pages From My Journals, and in June of 2003, he released Ghetto World Music. Mingo has been highlighted in many local and national publications, such as The Source Magazine and The CMJ Magazine. He recorded the title track for Zone 5 Pictures Neo-Con: The Age of Treason film, released April 2004. 2005 was busy year, as he finished up his Masters Degree in Human Services from Springfield College and began recording thereafter. His sixth CD was completed this year, Urban Renaissance, in January 2006 Mingo was chosen by The Pulse Magazine as one of the “26 People to Watch in 2006.” He currently is in the studio recording finishing up material on the seventh CD (fifth full length album) The Journey To Christ.

DRUMMING CREDITS: The church has been the first love of music and drumming for Mingo since age 5. He learned how to play the drums at church when he was younger. He has played for many, many churches in the Greater Boston area for over 25 years and has traveled with The New Hope Baptist Church to various churches along the entire East Coast. Mingo has been playing for the two time Grammy winning group Tavares since March 2000, and has played in Bermuda, Ft. Lauderdale, Bronx, Newark, Manhattan, Long Island, Detroit, Philadelphia, Providence, Boston and many more cities and towns.
