After having explored, in his first four albums, all the styles of the Latino American music then having flirted with jazz, in this new release Minino Garay pays tribute to Argentina and more particularly to Cordoba, his native town.

For this Argentinian musician, French by adoption for 25 years, the time has come to revisit some of the greatest moments in the history of Cordoba and its traditional cuarteto*, to honor his Argentinian roots.

Thus was born Asado, named after the typical Argentinian dish, barbecued and grilled meats, a genuine and popular institution that unites in all circumstances families and friends through joy, food and music.

Like this Argentinian dish, Asado is festive, warm and so lively it makes Cordobas soul dance way beyond Argentina.

Asado is undoubtedly Minino Garays most connected to his roots album, where he expresses faithfully his strong personality, extraordinary generosity and legendary charisma!

Minino had wished while writing and composing to collaborate with Argentinian artists, most specifically from Cordoba, to ensure that the album comes alive in the local folklore. He likely sensed that his mastering skills as well as his compositions and musical arrangements would result to a bold and singular album, perfectly modern, modeled on his brilliant musical madness.

With Asado, like an alchemist revisiting his own background, Minino Garay has succeeded in using all the ingredients of the cuarteto by blending cumbia*, candombe* and tunga-tunga*, to deliver a timeless and universal piece of work, reflective of his insatiable creativity and desire for Mtissage, the cultural mix of society.

Those who have had the chance to discover live Mininos powerful and energetic voice, understand the Asado tour concerts promise to be rhythmed with passion and contagious dancing!
