Mink Mob is an American hard rock band whose dangerous reputation, and technical prowess have made them one of the Floridas most popular rock and roll bands. The band's 2012 debut, Blaze is gaining them world notoriety with its Drawing from the heavy power pop of arena rock while leavened their melodies with doses of Punk and '70s metal
Originating in Orlando,Florida in Sept 2011, Mink Mob's unique style incorporates punk, Grunge, Metal, and other genres of music into their own sound. The band was formed by New York guitarist Paul Canz ,and Florida Singer/ drummer Glenn Gibney ,who worked on demos into early 2012 than recruited Michigan bassist Steve Catania . ( Wish upon a scar ) established Gibney’s penchant for angry, compelling songs about Life ,while showcasing Pauls incredible guitar work !!! Steve lays an excellent grove throught .. Leaning heavily on hard rock,Metal and Grunge, (Blaze) didn’t sport the same pop hooks that MinkMobs later Singles would feature, although “We Rock” demonstrates his early flair for catchy pop songs akin to the Puddle of Mudd / Offspring .The Band name was derived from a combination of Text messages .The Band was originally named ScarCasm but never officially. After recording a series of demos in 2012 and unable to find a permanent Drummer , MinkMob Decided lead vocalist Glenn Gibney would pull double duty.
Singing Lead Vocals and playing Drums at the same time. This is what truly sets the band apart !!! Paul Canz style comes from his many different influences as well as living in New York and Los Angeles .Steve Catania's Bass prowness comes from the many popular bands he has played with .
MinkMob is one of the most anticipated groups to emerge in the Orlando Radio Rock aftermath .
To sum it up ,we are not a super group of musicians who had record deals
and sold nouthing ,relying on past glory
Glenn Gibney will outsing your Singer while he Outdrums your Drummer.
Paul Canz will destroy your Guitarist with a solo he made up on the spot..
