If you could combine the power of Rage Against the Machine, the diversity of System of a Down and the passion of the Deftones, then you could begin to describe the sound of MINORITY - Staying true to thier influences while creating their own unique progressive style.

Biography

After the long awaited return of this Toronto-based hardcore metal band, MINORITY is now armed with new music, a new attitude and a new passion for performing. Fueled by emotion and driven by intensity MINORITY combines many influences and diverse flavors within their music. They refuse to be labeled or confined to any specfic genre and challenge the audience to make their own decision. With a high energy in-your-face style MINORITY fuses brutal raw heavy metal with stark, yet ambient riffs to create their unique sound. A crowd pumping stage presence, dangerous levels of sonic intensity and relentless energy are the characteristics that have made MINORITY's live performances notorious. You must see it to believe it.

Since 1999, the band has enjoyed solid underground success, as well as several opening slots for some of Canada's best known acts. After countless live shows, tours, recordings and other production efforts, the band has taken it to the next level. With enough years of struggle and sacrifice under their belts, MINORITY is positioned to deliver a severe blow to Canada's heavy music scene.

Their sheer determination to progress and evolve Canadian heavy music has forced the band to take matters into their own hands, relentlessly forging track after track of crushing new metal that pushes the boundaries of the genre. For MINORITY, this
year's forthcoming material represents the very drive and intensity it takes for an independant act to become a respected force and gain commercial success while protecting the one thing that the
others have lost - integrity, and dedication to music.

Now let the music speak for itself.
