Steven Hurst

This site is for the purpose of demonstrating my 1st Amendment right. My songs were given under inspiration and I hope they will create influence to honestly decide what is best for our Nation in 2012 and after. I do not have hope in either of the two prevalent political parties and believe that every administration from the early 1900's to our present day has slowly, but surely, taken us farther from the vision our forefathers had for this country. Our nation has drastically changed from then, for the worse. The Constitution of the United States is the Supreme Law of the Land. It is a living document used for the sole purpose of governing the relationship between our government and We, the People, as well as our states. Most citizens are like myself, I imagine...ignorant to the framework that is supposed to govern this nation. It's time to stand up for real Change in DC. For too long we have allowed our government to prop us up on Debt...with Debt. For too long, we've allowed our government to engage in useless, Unconstitutional Wars, seeking only the interests of a few. For too long, we have ignored our calling, as Americans, to Take back our Freedom and Demand our Liberties from those who year after year strive to take them away. We are living in the greatest age of all time, during the most troubling of all times, and we must act to Revolutionize our Nation. It is our only Hope of returning down the road our forefathers pointed us toward.
I've always loved to sing...all genres of music. I began teaching myself at the age of 21 and began writing immediately. Love songs, songs about personal convictions. From Alex Jones to Ron Paul to Michael Savage to really paying attention to current events as well as studying up a bit on history. The lyrics would fall as words on the page and usually within minutes, the song is 80% complete. I've learned as others have to polish them up a bit before bringing them to the public. It's a gift and I'm grateful!
