MIRAGE

Mirage is a native of Austin Texas. He has gained national exposure through his personal brand music that he calls SOULHOP. Soulhop: as Mirage describes it “is a blend of jazz, funk, blues, soul/r&b and the hip hop that is a part of his DNA. He got his start in the courtyard of his elementary during heated battles with his classmates. Those matches soon spread from the schoolyard to his neighborhood and eventually all over the city. After graduating from high school he attended college at Prairie View A&M University and earned his Bachelors in Business Administration, which is proving to be very beneficial in the entertainment industry. While at P.V. he became serious about his music, it was during these years that he first began to make complete projects. The first was a nationally acclaimed “L.I.A.R” EP on GoodVibe Recordings out of Los Angeles. Mirage soon built his own label called MelodicScience Recordings in 2002. Mirage has released 3 albums (Rhythm Gumbo 1998, Bonafide 2002, and M.I.R.A.G.E 2007) a string of mix-tapes (Formula 5-1-2, T.O.S.O.T vol. 1 & 1.5). Mirage has sold around 15,000 copies of his music worldwide. He has also made the Austin Chronicle top 10 lists with all of his releases. Mirage is know as an artist / producer / organizer / creator. In December 2008 he became a founding member of The G.U.U.D a collective of some of the best talent in Austin Texas including Young Nick, Trashman, Blacc Goliath, Mikey Stylez, and Kaizen
