"“Too Blessed” Artist Miranda Writes and the Truth Behind her Success"

NYC born hip-hop artist Miranda Writes has released her compelling new single “Too Blessed”. The dangerously catchy beats will leave you addicted to this track because of her unforgiving attitude and the powerful strength she portrays in her voice and her lyrics. This song gives us the narrative of her growing journey as an artist. It explains the reality of social climbers in the music industry; the way they cling to her as she rises and moves forward, but then let go whenever she falls. Her positive, optimistic attitude and her undeniable talent enables her to push aside the negative elements, to successfully pursue and achieve her goals daily. Miranda Writes simply is “too blessed to be super stressed”. - LA on Lock

"“pure energy of hip-hop, without all of the gimmicks""

Miranda Writes has a certain sound to her music and performances that presents her individuality well. The vocal performance throughout ‘Ask Em’ has a cool and calm vibe to it that portrays a carefree kind of confidence. Alongside of the fairly classic hip-hop sounding beat, this approach fits well. The musicality of the track is anything but minimal. There is this occasional moment of stop and start, of creative mixing, added sound effects, pauses to get you focusing on the lyrics. - Exposed Vocals

Visibly awed by the cast seated before them, the students listened with laser-focus as Universal Hip Hop Museum President Rocky Bucano introduced such innovators as Roxanne Shante, Grand Wizard Theodore, Original B Fats, Chip Fu, Miranda Writes and Claude “Paradise” Gray. Each offered their perspectives on the elements of hip-hop culture, from graffiti and beatboxing to DJing and MCing. -

"Know your Miranda Writes!"

Miranda Writes is a female hip-hop artist (or Femcee as she refers to herself ) from Central Jersey with an effortless and flowing rapping style that compares with some of her heroes like Eminem (cited by Miranda as her biggest influence) and Jay Z.
You can also hear the influence of other female rap artists such as Missy Elliott and Lauryn Hill, but above all else she has her own style. Clocking in at nearly five minutes, the track Knowledge of Self is a great showcase for her lyrical prowess, and, like her main influences, she has an innate facility for rhymes and natural rhythm. Rather than rapping about violence and ‘bling’ like some rappers choose to do, Miranda’s message is somewhat deeper.
Beginning with the catchy main hook ‘Breathe in…breathe out..”, Miranda then
launches into her rapid-fire delivery style, and the rhymes flow thick and fast with
deft lyrical skill. The subject matter is society itself and the ‘national acceptance of the
dumbness of humanity’. Her awareness of her talent shines in the lines ‘lyrical sword,
double-die for my family, defying laws of gravity, longevity, totality…’.
Her message is that change is soon about to occur (‘Chasin’ new gears….the rules
about to switch..’) and derides rappers who ‘make the problem all the source, so we
give them this attention’ instead of sending a positive message out to the world. She
also rightly criticizes our obsession with celebrity culture: ‘This is not a prediction or
a radical promotion, merely the truth, I just put it in the open…I don’t care about the
news, or who married who, until it makes a difference I’ll just flip the channel boo…’.
In the next verse she again rightly satirizes gangsta rappers (‘We don’t want to be
leaders, want to be killers’), warning them ‘Open up your eyes or fall victim to the
reaper’. This serious and moral message is what sets Miranda Writes apart from most
rap artists and this clever and catchy track could be the launching pad for a lengthy
career. - Exposed Vocals

"Miranda Writes- Knowledge of Self"

I’ve been getting a fair amount of hate lately, ’cause I won’t feature certain rappers on my blog, that I’m showing my age by referring to ‘The Golden Era’ all the time. Know what? When it comes down to HipHop, they’re right! ‘Cause lotta rhymes I’m getting, just drops flat. And on MY blog? I ain’t having THAT!
Now, forget about the hate and make room for Miranda Writes, while she’s stepping up the plate, getting on the grind, spittin’ true knowledge, to super cleanse your mind!

This right here, is what HipHop is all about!

"Miranda Writes Breaks the Barriers of Genre in New Track “F@#$ Around “"

Miranda Writes has just released new banger “F@#$ Around”. What makes this track stand out from the pack is its ability to be equal parts hip-hop and equal parts electronic dance music. This electronic-hip-hop fusion can also be heard in her earlier release “Too Blessed”, making this multi-genre approach a staple in Miranda Writes’ style. - Hip Hop Hotness

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Miranda WritesPRLog (Press Release) - Feb. 19, 2013 - Miranda Writes Anthem Release Sheds New Light, Hip-Hop is Back!

New Jersey, February 19, 2013 - LPD Entertainment announces the release of Miranda Writes’ first single, “MW Anthem”. This landmark achievement for the young, female emcee is a signal to Hip-Hop fans across the globe as a new dawn has come for the music genre. The single is now available for download on iTunes and CD Baby (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/mw-anthem-single/id6035... or http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/mirandawrites ).

Since January 2011 Miranda Writes has been revolutionizing Hip-Hop by re-introducing the very elements of the genre music lovers embraced it for during the 1980s and early 1990s. LPD Entertainment, an independent banner created by the aspiring emcee, Miranda Writes declares her simple mantra: Light Prevails Dark. The new Miranda Writes song, “MW Anthem”, leaves listeners with no question unanswered about her plan to dominate the Hip-Hop game and achieve her lofty goal of reaching the masses. Over a catchy, bass-heavy beat, Miranda Writes lays the lines, “Ride with the motion; options open. Be free. Yes, free is the notion… No restrictions; this is the beginning. Zone state of mind- Tell me if you’re listenin’!” As the song progresses it becomes clear: Through her positive and determined ethic Miranda Writes will become a household name.

“MW Anthem” is a breakthrough song for the eighteen-year-old artist from central New Jersey. “It’s all about positivity and what you can do when you put your mind to it. I truly believe all things are possible. The sky is the limit for those who stay focused and aware. That’s the reason I incorporated lines about snowboarding. I’m in my zone when I’m on the slopes. It’s where I clear my mind and think about my goals and aspirations.” These days Miranda Writes has seldom time to spend snowboarding, though. She spends her weekdays writing lyrics and laying tracks and weekends performing for the Universal Zulu Nation, a global community of music lovers who have shown unending support towards her mission to revive old-school Hip-Hop and spread the LPD Entertainment message.

The “MW Anthem” CD release is a bound forward for Miranda Writes. Using the July 2012 album release of Miranda Writes’ “Say My Name Mix-Tape” as a jumping-off block, “MW Anthem” picks up where she left off, speaking to her ambition to continually improve her music and keep her fans engaged. To broaden her fan base, Miranda Writes recruited emcees sharing her vision from across the globe to contribute to the mix-tape. Their featured appearances throughout the album are a lyrical display of the hunger for peace and positivity Miranda Writes has identified and strives to satisfy. “Say My Name Mix-Tape” earned Miranda Writes the international following and support system she refers in her songs to as, “The LPD Crew”. Miranda Writes says, “My family, friends and fellow emcees are the biggest asset to my career. I am motivated to spread my message, write more and stay focused by their support. They keep me going.”

"The Importance And Relevance Of Female Emcees... Miranda Writes"

Ever since Sha-Rock we (I) have held female emcees to a certain standard. Goddesses, Wisdoms, Earths, Mothers, Daughters, Queens, Princesses, etc. Women are the guards of the porthole into this plain of existence, the keepers of the birth canal, and the physical fragile tenderness which is the first glimpse into the meaning of life itself to a child! The definition demands accountability.

Sisters such as Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, Bahamadia, Rah Digga, Lauryn Hill, and few others have made a mark that puts them in a league of their own in the ranks of crowd control, they can hold their own in the realm of a majority of male counterparts. Seldom seen in mainstream rap music are females who represent woman-hood, the art form, and self respect with an even balance! This (Hip-Hop) is different than any other genre of music, it was developed in the street to report the street honestly and is governed by a code of the streets! Key word, Honestly which means from the heart aka truth, un-tainted by the up keeping of an image or the desired to be perceived as “Real” which is generally fake as a 3 dollar bill! There is not a balance amongst male and female in Hip-Hop, the spotlight immediately goes on “Her” when she steps in the arena! A woman in the music industry is the voice of a sex that has been demanding respect from day one and all of her actions echo “yay or nay!”

Today, in tell-lie-vision, movies, radio, and all of media there is more of an outstanding need for Positive Female Role Models than ever before! Sadly shows like “Housewives of ATL, LA, NY, Orange County, Love and Hip-Hop, Basketball wives, etc” are mis-guiding our little girls into thinking that such lifestyles and treatment are proper aspirations! I recently watched Love and Hip-Hop for the first and last time and was sickened by what I saw, women without knowledge of self, a sense of self worth, and searching for stepping stones rather than being stones too strong for anyone to even think of stepping on! This is why we have a Nicki Minaj. On the opposite side of this coin are Jean Grae, Invincible, Apani, AtLas, Eternia, Pri The Honeydark, Helixx, Kalae, Narubi Sela and the many you do not often hear about that spit fire and/or are apart of The HipHopSisters.com Movement!

These sisters are not extinct, they do exist! They exemplify emceeing!
The Universal Zulu Nation is the first family of Hip-Hop, our Malikas have a lot to live up to. Miranda Writes is an up and coming emcee from New Jersey with respect for the culture. She is 17 years old, young, working to master her craft, and an up and coming member of The Universal Zulu Nation as well as the C.E.O of LPD Entertainment (which she owns and manages by herself with the support of her family) recording out of FrankenSound Recording & Rehearsal Studios with Tim Flanzbaum.

We (The UZN) support her and we expect the carrying on of a legacy in her work! To emcee is more than putting together a story with words that rhyme or getting a reaction, it is an art form, and a constant work to improve on lyricism and a craft. To emcee is to be a Wordsmith. To be a UZN Emcee is an honor! Her newest project is a Mix/CD called: “Say My Name” It will be available as a Free Download online for a limited amount of time at DATPIFF.COM While the physical copy will have a fixed price which is T.B.A.

"Music Review for Miranda Writes – HipHop PSA"

This is a track that reaches out to the people of today, raising a flag for certain ideas that shouldn’t be ignored. ‘All human beings are born free and equal.’ The video has some quite striking imagery to accompany this theme, with a flicker of ideas from V For Vendetta, a memorable cult hit – known for this mask of anonymity. There is a recorded voice playing at certain times, a classic sounding American announcement, implied as part of a public forum, ‘The universal declaration of human rights’, so from the very start you know that this will mean something – this will be something worth listening to for it’s lyricism and it’s concept. - Exposed Vocals
