"Mirth Remedy"

This teen band's sound is solid funk and rock morphed to alternative punk creating a unique sound with an energy that has left crowds from numerous shows exhausted, shocked, and sprawled on the ground. Their show is fun for all and they will stop at nothing to achieve their goal: to awe as many crowds as possible. They do this using the weapon of pure fun and their great talent and music put together producing a show definitely worth seeing!

Bio

Mirth Remedy was formed in September of ’05 with a vision held by two brothers Jonathan and Andrew Ellington. Mirth Remedy was originally centered around punk, but now our sound has changed drastically. Mirth Remedy was originally a four piece band, but now has evolved to a three piece with members Jonathan Ellington (Lead Guitar and Vocals), Andrew Ellington (Drums), and Craig Johnson (Bass). The turning point of our sound and our vision changed when we realized how powerful our music is and the strong effect it can have on people. We have moved forward and never turned back. We became a permanent three piece with a unique fusion of funk and rock. We realized the opportunities and the excitement that filled our hearts in creating music to the Glory of God. We all came to a mutual agreement that there is nothing better for us than give our music to God with the hope of changing people’s lives through it. We have recently recorded a three song demo capturing the new sound and vision of Mirth Remedy. We all have come to realize that at the end of the day, there is nothing more important than changing people’s lives to come to God through the abilities that he has instilled in us as a band.
