I was recently put onto the Mischka Daria, and not without a lot of references and good words to accompanying it. The Toronto songstress has released her latest project, ‘Send No Flowers’, as a an EP about self-discovery as an artist, and as a woman dealing the highs and lows or relationships and intimacy.

Mischka Daria is a Canadian singer-songwriter. Born in the east end of Toronto to Vincentian parents, music has always been an instrumental part of her life. Her father, a musician, her mother, a music- eccentric - music was in her blood. Mischka’s first brush with music was at the age of 4. She received a tape recorder with microphone for Christmas and insisted on singing and recording songs daily. As she got older, her ear for music developed and her appreciation for writing her own lyrics heightened. During the production of her EP, Mischka was on a path to discover who she was as an artist. "I just do what feels good to me. I write and sing to suit my mood or the mood the music gives me, whether it’s dark, sad, joyful, or ‘in love’. I think R&B is about conveying an emotion and taking you to that place. I'm willing to give an honest account of my experience to take you there.” Mischka’s latest project 'Send No Flowers', is inspired by experience. “We have the capacity to feel so many different things, there is such a broad spectrum, all those moments inspire me.” You will be able to hear the caring, reckless and passionate Mischka in her music.
