Bio

In 2007 at a charity fundraising event, Jamie McIntyre - an eccentric individual with the natural ability to captivate an audience - and his brother Sean McIntyre - a laid back, self taught guitarist with a unique voice - performed individually during the break of the main act. Invited to a further event, the brothers got together to learn more cover songs but also added in some original material that they had been working on individually. The seed for a band had been planted!

In 2008 at an outdoor music festival, the brothers were introduced to Kev Bennett. The pint-sized, larger-than-life solo performer was an accomplished guitarist with a powerful raw voice and his own set of original songs. After a jam session together, it was clear that the three boys shared similar ideas on life and music and these were the foundations that Miscued Vein was built on.

The boys knew their vision for the band needed an accomplished lead guitarist – that man would be top guitarist Mick McGhee - the songwriter and lead guitarist in a band that Jamie had been with, throughout their school years.

After a string of successful gigs throughout their home county, performing clever interpretations of covers, original songs, intricate harmonies and infectious energy, they knew their sound was not complete. Up stepped the 3rd brother on keyboards – Garry McIntyre!

2010 has witnessed an explosion in the band’s career. The band focussed on writing more of their anthemic songs, and recorded a CD of demo tracks that was downloaded by hundreds of fans in only the first couple of days of being made available on their website.

They also played several sold-out gigs in the city of Glasgow, including headlining at the famous King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, loudly supported by their large & loyal fanbase. Their track “Triplet” rocketed to the top of Radio Clyde’s Unsigned Chart, and the band featured in an on-air interview. The same track was also featured on Rock Radio after winning several head-to-head sessions with other artists.

The band have also played at the exclusive Unsigned Stage at the famous Glasgow West End Festival, and the summer of 2010 sees them recording and producing their new EP!
