'Pure Piano - Reflection'
Mish's intention for making a solo-piano CD of original works came from a strong desire to send healing music to a person living with a serious, life-threatening illness. This friend of a friend had heard and loved the sound of Mish's piano creations when she is "playing out her soul." Hence was the birth of 'Pure Piano - Reflection'. Impressively different to anything Mish has created before, capturing improvised moments, into a therapeutic CD of soothing, emotive sounds.
Please join Mish in the celebration of her new CD! There will be wine, champagne and light snacks to accompany a live performance of the CD in the beautiful, new space that is now The Channon Gallery (next to The Channon Tavern). Doors will be open from 5.30pm on Friday October 14th, for a 6pm start. CDs will be available on the night for only $15, and are also available at Music Bizarre, Lismore for $20.

Mish has obtained various Songwriting and Performing Awards since graduating with a B.A. in Contemporary Music Composition in 2006. She won the 2007 Apollo Bay Music Festival's "Buskers Competition" for Best Solo Street Musician and the 2006 "Solo Songwriters Sessions Competition" in NSW.
We are delighted to have Mish as part of our Luffley Cafe Live Music roster. She has an extraordinary voice and piano skills to match... Mish plays at Luffley on Friday 12th December. - Solar Chapel

However your songs "I Must Be Wishful Thinking" and "See We're Living In The Same World", would be perfect for the station. I saw Mishful Thinking at the Rage Against Howard gig a week or two ago and I loved their funky, original tunes with front woman Mish playing and singing up a storm. She blows her own trumpet and so she should with some really great songs written by her and spicy arrangements from the band - which should go down a treat at this weekend's Herb Festival. - S. Mish has a smile that would light up the darkest night and a talent many an international star would be envious of. This local, independent singer/songwriter is smiling even more with the release of her new CD "Something Wonderful".
The first track off the album “In Love With Love” won this years Best Adult Contemporary song at the recent Music Industry Dolphin Awards and track two, “Something Wonderful” won the Best Performing Artist award last December at the ABC Nth Coasts first ever ArtsNest Awards!
Mish will be caressing piano keys and singing her bluesy, jazz-influenced original songs when she performs at The Winsome Hotel in Lismore next Thursday, May 29, from 7.30pm.

Singer/Songwriter/Musician Mish, has obtained various Songwriting and Performing Awards since graduating with a B.A. in Contemporary Music Composition at Southern Cross University in 2006. Mish also studied Jazz and Classical based Music Composition at The Victorian College of The Arts (VCA) in Melbourne in 2001.
Mish currently plays solo piano/vocal gigs at local events, weddings, restaurants and bars in Northern NSW and Southern QLD. Live, she performs well written masterpieces by poetic songwriter's such as herself, Adele, Joni Mitchell, KD Lang, John Lennon, Sting, Leonard Cohen...the ones that stick to your soul and seem timeless.
Selected as "Artist of The Week" at ABC Radio North Coast for her CD "Pure Piano - Reflections" - October 2011.
"See We're Living In The Same World" was nominated as one of four finalists in the Acoustic Ballad Category in the 2010 (NCEIA) North Coast Entertainment Industry Awards.
"Coyote Blues" won Best Blues Song at the 2009 (NCEIA) North Coast Entertainment Industry Awards.
In 2008 Mish completed the production and recording of her EP “Something Wonderful.” Her EP was part of The Australian Music Radio Airplay Project (AMRAP) and played at over 30 community radio stations around Australia in 2009.
“In Love With Love” won Best Adult Contemporary Song at the 2008 (NCEIA) North Coast Entertainment Industry Awards.
“In Love With Love” was short-listed in The 28th Australian Songwriters Associations, Australian Songwriting Contest and The 2008 Independent Singer-Songwriters Associations (ISSA) International Songwriting Contest.
“Something Wonderful” won the Best Performing Artist Award at the 2007 ABC ArtsNest Awards.
Mish won the 2007 Apollo Bay Music Festival’s "Buskers Competition" for Best Solo Street Musician.
'Best Solo Songwriter' at The 2006 Solo Songwriter Sessions in Brunswick Heads, Nth NSW.
Mish has played at Music Festivals such as Woodford Folk Festival, GIRL FEST, Gold Coast Gay Day, Brisbane Fair Day, Lismore Fair Day, Tropical Fruits New Years Eve, Palm Creek Folk Festival, Shoal Water Bay Peace Concert, Yeppoon Peace Festival, The Bangalow Jazz Festival, Melbourne and Adelaide Fringe Festivals, Nimbin MardiGrass and The Wollumbin Dreaming Festival.
Mish has toured to Japan, and Hamilton and Hayman Islands with successful 8-Part Vocal group "Isabella A Cappella" and played trumpet in The Lismore Symphony Orchestra and Southern Cross University Big Band.
Mish has current Standard Music Placement Agreements with SYNCHUP and HOOK, LINE & SYNC Synchronization Companies who are promoting “In Love With Love” for films in Canada and the U.S. and also has songs that have made it past the first cut in Steel Tree Films’ TV Series “Hillers; The Series.”
