Feeling a bit camera shy

What started off as a musical side project, in December 2009, for both drummer Rodolfo Nava and vocalist Janet Starr, morphed into the full-blown band known now as MisMatch. The birth of MisMatch initiated in the summer of 2010, when guitarist, Daniel Herrera, was introduced by Rodolfo to Janet in the endeavor of starting something solid. Originally, Daniel had been working on another side project with Rodolfo for which they created heavy metal music. However, upon hearing the first song that Janet and Rodolfo created, I Feel Your Anger, Daniel decided to join creative forces with both artist. Later in the summer, Janet introduced her long time friend, Lubia Nunez, to the rest of the band. From her previous knowledge of musical theory in piano, she picked up the bass rapidly.

However, after a year of membership for both Lubia and Daniel, both parted ways for different reasons. Lubia, the bassist, chose to continue her education goals and aspiring career. Daniel had conflicts with the band and thus quit. Moreover, Norbert Bujanowicz and Paul Mika joined the MisMatch family as the new bassist and guitarist, respectively. Both musicians were childhood friends that jointly were part of other local scene metal and progressive bands known as Killmedia and The Elevator Incident. Bringing their unique taste and groove to the sound boards of MisMatch, MisMatch continues to live on a strive with a revamp and evolution of sound.

Originally, the word MisMatch served to define the difference, or MisMatch, in personalities and lifestyles of each member of the band. However, as each musician contributed and blended their musical taste, the band became a solid MisMatch of both alternative and metal music.

Now, out to reach the ears and hearts of millions, MisMatch strives to take each step necessary to make that goal a reality. As of recently, they released their first full length album on over 40 digital stores, including iTunes, Amazon and Napster. Furthermore, they have opened up for national acts such as Orgy, Kittie, Adema, Taproot, One-Eyed Doll and Black Heart Vacancy. Continuously spreading the word via radio interviews, sponsorship, promotion, and reviews, MisMatch is on full blast to the top.
