After meeting in 1994, Allen Shelton and Dave McDonie began collaborating and formed Missed Conception. Despite numerous member changes throughout the years, Allen and Dave worked to improve their writing and performance to create the Missed Conception today.
Pulling from a wide spectrum of influences from Pink Floyd to System of a Down, from Yes to Robert Johnson, from Zappa to Johnny Cash, from Primus to King Crimson; Missed Conception has chosen emotion, personal expression, and musical versatility over current musical trends, using warm textural grooves and sonic walls of controlled chaos to create music that listening and live audiences continuously enjoy.
