Bio

Missi Hale comes to us from Seattle Washington, now living in Franklin, TN. With a mother who is a retired dance teacher of 35 years , Missi grew up in a creative home. " my parents both were always so supportive, encouraging me to press into my desires for music, and to find my own voice. It's just something that has always been there". With that Missi began singing sessions at the young age of 12 years old, and began her journey into the world of Jingles, Background vocals, demos, and eventually performing all over the Northwest. She has the opportunity to dabble in various styles of music. From Musical theatre, country, pop, R&B and well, you name it. But it was the unresolve of jazz music that caught her attention. Which becomes relevant in most of her music. " I woudn't say that it is completely jazz stylistically, but the elements are there."
Since moving to Nashville, Missi has had the opportunity to work for various publishing and record companies singing demo's, background and lead on projects all different styles such as R&B, Country, Rock, Blues and musical theatre. She's traveled singing BGV's for artists such as former American Idol contestent RJ Helton, Brian Duncan, Sharif Iman and is currentley on the road here and there singing with Anointed. In mid 2005 Missi was a part of a 9 person ensemble who performed as one of the choir and character voices on the new DisneyLand Electrical Parade as well as just recentley having the opportunity to sing for Disney again for the 2005 Halloween Spectacular event at the Walt Disney world Theme Park in Florida. If you listen closely you may here her voice on an up and coming Veggie Tales movie.
Missi is the musical director for a program called 'Making Peace with Imperfection', an original production that she and two other women (Constance Rhodes executive director of findingbalance.com, and Caroline Mitchel, who was dramatic director) founded and produced. Their first performance was with a cast of 35 different musicians and actors in April of 2005. A former disorder eater herself, Missi found comfort not only in the production and entertainment of the show, ... but in the healing and recovery it provided for her as well.
Missi just finished her 5 song EP titled as a development artist with Centricity Records in Oct. 2005. The Ep is titled 'Someone I've Gotta be' Which explains Missi to a 'T'. A known perfectionist, she has learned to embrace a perfection she will never have... at least not for now.
Missi continues to seek out a life that digs deep into the Grace that Jesus has given her, hopefully reflecting that grace to this generation and generations to come. She says, "For me making music / living life, is only a reflection of who I am. Not who I am. I praise God for the opportunity to do what I do. I feel it's a responsibilty to be a good steward of our gifts, relationships, and all that we have. No one has figured out how to perfectly balance all this out, but at least if we are trying, hopefully that truth will come out and reach people, breaking their hearts, and although we are not the 'Mender' we hopefully can be a part of the mending. "

"I wait in this chaos, clearly I created it for myself, the awnser is simple, Oh LORD, I need your help." 2nd verse Lyrics from 'Piece Me Together' written by Missi Hale and Cami Lienhard
