"The Riverfront Times"

Missile Silo Suite's aggresive, sexual modern rock is nice and could hold its own against anything on the radio, but the band has a secret weapon in the form of vocalist Sarah Laak. Laak, a classically trained jazz singer, brings the benefit of her vocal experience to her material, which runs the gamut between the grungy grooves of Garbage and the bedroom-farce pop of early Liz Phair. Her range highlights the dramatic potential of Suite's work, and she can bring a ragged rock song to life with her emotional inflections. It doesn't hurt, either, that she's a natural star with the sort of charisma you can't take your eyes off. Like a stage actress, Laak commits herself to her material and could carry the rest of Suite on her back - especially during the rare (but intriguing) acoustic performance that the band has been known to give. - Niles Baranowski

"Midwestbands.com"

They have all the fixin's of a great rock band; great high energy playing, a powerful rhythm section, and a lead singer with one of the most powerful, gritty rock and roll voices I've heard. The lyrics are awesome! The music is incredible...Missile Silo Suite as a band is a total package! Anyone that hears them and is not blown away is just dead inside. - Mark Lush

Sexy chops surrounded by a nonstop blaze of sound...The playing is solid, the singing is first rate. - Jim Dunn

Missile Silo Suite: Companion Fare EP (self-released)

The first thought that came to my mind when I listened to Missile Silo Suite’s new EP was how sophisticated the band’s sound has become over the years. When I first saw MSS three years ago, the band’s guitar-rock sound was more simplistic and hadn’t yet evolved, but with Companion Fare, the four are sounding better than ever. Singer Sarah Laak sounds perfect over the guitar-driven melodic riffs. High-impact tunes such as “I Know Why” and “Window” demand to be heard again and again. Overall, the vocals are tight, the melodies are strong, and everything seems to fall into place. This EP is just a taste of things to come, as MSS has already begun work on a full-length. Whet your appetite. - John Kujawski

Bio

Young, attractive, five piece rock band from St. Louis seeks passionate, adventurous listeners for full-on female fronted action, hardcore aural pleasure, and possible long term relationship. Age unimportant. Will travel!

With influences ranging from Jawbreaker, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, and Led Zepplin, to Jeff Buckley, Tori Amos, and David Bowie, Missile Silo Suite is creating a sound that is unexpected, sexy, smart, and wickedly rock and roll.
Missile Silo Suite's debut full length release, "Holding Pattern," with producers J. Christopher Hughes and Jacob Detering sets the evolving band off to an impressive start. Raw and provocative, melodic guitar interplay by Anthony Spinali and A.D. Thurston, coupled with the agressive lock-tight rhythm section of drummer Jamie Perryman and bassist Christopher Bosslet, and the dynamic power of Sarah Laak's sultry, soaring vocals and insightful lyrics makes the chemistry of MSS undeniable. Their songs deliver enduring hooks that are distinctly radio savvy but won't leave you hating youself in the morning.
MSS has just released the EP, "Companion Fare," and is well into the recording process of a second full length album (to be released on indie label, Red Pill) in addition to almost constant local and regional live shows and showcases at music conferences and festivals (most recently the MECA conference in Chicago.)

Missile Silo Suite also enjoys long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and board games by the fire.
