Bio
Although officially formed in 2009, the founding members of Toronto Alternative Rock band Missing In Venice had been playing music together in local bands like Eclectic and Spectrum since 2006. Over the span of three EPs, various demos and one full-length album, the band's lineup has seen many changes but singer Gabriel Ramos, guitarist James Christie and bassist Luke Young have remained true to the original vision of the band: to make music without compromise, never settling for anything but the best out of every word, every note.
After years of recording and playing rock in the vein of bands like Incubus and Circa Survie, the band is switching gears and entering the studio to record a project that brings the band's unique sound into the wacky world of progressive groove metal. The EP willed be titled Goatman vs. Metropolis and is the band's first concept album and tells the story of a young goat and his journey to save his people and become a goatman. It was conceptualized 6 years ago but the world wasn't ready for it yet. It's time has finally come... and that time is early to mid next year.
Some of the band's accomplishments include winning Best Performance/Best Artist at Kollaboration in the Toronto Metro Convention Center before 1300 roaring fans and a panel of judges, having their first single “Already Dead” picked up by MTV to use in the Olympic snowboarding show “Over the Bolts”, and generally kicking ass on stage.
