"THE MISSION IS MADNESS"

Local rockers Mission vs. Madness drag it all out on the floor with their new CD, Trainwrecks & Tipjars. Drawing the majority of their inspiration from melodic punk rock bands, Mission vs. Madness toss out their share of granular hooks supported by an aggro, four-on-the-floor attack that eschews post-punk prog detours and simply drills ahead with the pulverizing machine set on maximum energy. If you like old school, melodic hardcore like Husker Du, Social Distortion and 7 Seconds, you’ll dig Trainwrecks & Tipjars. "91.3 FM KSCL"

Mission Vs. Madness knows how to shake the foundation when it comes to live performance! I had the chance to see these guys perform a set in Shreveport, La. at Lil' Joe's Tavern & they made the crowd quake.

I saw that EVERYONE dug MVM, they slammed around on stage belting out lyrics like "I hate the system that isolates us, & every wall that you build I will tear down!" - Victory Gin, it's honest, brutal, & IN YOUR FACE! Not only is it what ROCK & ROLL is all about but it's GREAT drinking music too!!

Most MVM songs face the corruption & decay of our society and spare no mercy for it's crap. A great band, energetic, loud, right on the money for the times, and where the rest of the world is as far as musical development (Germany, France, Italy, even New York, Los Angeles, & Chicago). I give a firm thumbs up & a HELL YEAH! their way. Keep rockin' it guys!

Bio

Mission vs Madness is a punk rock band from Lafayette, Louisiana. Growing up in a cultural melting pot, the band frequently strays from its punk roots into other genres, even tapping into a bit of outlaw country. But one thing stays consistent: a full-frontal sonic attack fueled by the rich storytelling and textured vocal harmonies of brothers Nick and Andy Best.

After releasing their first EP (“Launch” - July, 2009), Mission vs Madness toured the Gulf Coast region extensively from Florida to Oklahoma. The next year, the band teamed up with Grammy-winning producer/engineer Ivan Klisanin to record their first full-length album. “Trainwrecks & Tipjars” was released on August 24th, 2010 and drew immediate comparisons to influential groups such as Social Distortion and Hüsker Dü.

With two solid records under their belts, the band heads down the lonesome highway once again to continue the search for good friends, good beer, and good times.
