Bio

Miss Joelle Ashley Bio
“It’s my sweetest escape,” says Joelle Ashley of her music.
After being discovered in an Atlantic City casino in 2006 led to a meeting with Grammy award-wining producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, Joelle knew her star was on the rise. The two immediately hit it off and began working within two weeks.
Her rise to fame started early. In fact, those closest to her say she was born with star quality. The Miami native remembers singing and dancing through her family’s home, putting on performances for her parents, younger brother, nanny, and anyone who would listen.
She earned her family’s support when she hijacked her mother’s new camcorder and staged an impromptu performance of Madonna’s “Like A Virgin”. It was as though she turned into a different person. She wasn’t the quiet, sweet little girl, but rather a sassy little entertainment.”
From there, her home performances led to intensive and rigorous training in acting, singing and dancing. Rehearsals became a way of life and instilled a strong work ethic in the budding pop star. Her efforts and natural talent paid off in 2001 when she took a trip to Los Angeles on the advice of her acting coach. She landed roles in shows on the Disney Channel, such as “That’s So Raven,” also starring in many commercials, featured in several magazines, and interviews while continuing her bicoastal high school experience.
Miss Joelle Ashley has made a name for herself through her hard work and dedication by constantly working, whether it’s acting, singing or dancing. She remains focused by constantly aiming to achieve higher goals. Currently her main concentration is on her music career. She has collaborated with many heavy-hitting award winning producers and artists such as Blackout Movement, Streetrunner, Bad Boy’s Binkdawg ,Def Jam recording Artist Sterling Simms, Casely. Oak, Young Money/Cash Money, and upcoming R&B sensation Jason Derulo.
Last but not least, Grammy award-winning Rodney Jerkins has served as not only a producer but Joelle turns to him and his wife as personal mentors. Radio airwaves even made some noise when they got hold of one of Joelle’s songs, “who ya talking to”, featuring D-Shep. As of now, Miss Joelle Ashley is in the studio making hits with Grammy award-winning super producer Streetrunner as well as Blackout Movement. Look out for her new single “Star” produced by Bad Boy’s own Bink. Performing is certainly in Joelle’s blood. She’s as comfortable on a sound stage as she is in her bedroom. Friends and family include music heavyweights like Van Halen and Maurice Gibb but Joelle’s personal style is more a reflection of a combination of Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, Ciara, and Aaliyah.
