"Let's Love"

Daysha Lassiter was born in Buford, South Carolina, March 4th, 1983. This date marked the beginning of her conquest on becoming a musician. At age 6, in Daytona Beach Florida, Daysha was a member in the St. James Missionary Baptist Church Choir. Within the experience, Daysha's mother, Farris Robinson, first realizes the goliath potential her little one had with singing. At the young age of 6 this vocal powerhosue was leading the choir of adults in tunes such as Sister Act's, " O Happy Day," when other children her age were playing in the sand boxes and trying to stay in the lines of coloring books.
Daysha has continued to stir the pot of the musical world not only in her contributions as a vocalist, but also in her variations of song wiritng . In 1996, Daysha wrote songs for one of her first Gospel groups, "New Destiny," which included the groups' theme-song, " New Destiny." She furtherd her group singing in 1993-2001, singing with the groups, "Sweet & Tender and Soterio. The vocal collaroborations didn't stop there. In highschool at Atlantic High, in Daytona Beach, Florida, Daysha displayed other musical talents when she stepped up from the flute, baritone, and oboe section of the school band and assumed the prestigious position of, "Drum Major, " conducting the band, front and center, keeping the tempo for her fellow musical colleagues.
And keeping the muscial tempo in her life was not hard. She continues her post secondary education at DBCC within the concert choir with Choral / Vocal master, Dr. Norton Christeson. She cultivated her singing talents with the wonderful, Janet Rabe-Meyer, where Daysha learned to harness vocal capabilities.
Today, she has recently been signed with LFP media, an independant recording label, and is curerntly working on her debut album, "Introducing Miss Jonez, " which is to be released in January 2009. She has since released her first single, "Let's Love." This album is a reflection of her thoughts, life experiences, and a tribute to her idols: Sade, Ella Fitzgerald, and Roberta Flack. The album's title, "Miss Jonez," is an alter ego created by one of her former roomates's given to her because of her addictive personality when it came to love and music. "When you fall in love with something, you have to have it. I'm Jonesin' for..."- Miss Jonez
