"Easier to look at"

"Though it's tempting to lump Miss Mamie Lavona and Her White Boy Band in with jazz revivalists, Lavona and her crew borrow from far too many other genres to be solely classified as a jazz band. Instead, think of them as the musical equivalent of your favorite burlesque dancer shimmying her hips."

"Steaming up small bar shows"

"Miss Mamie and the boys have been steaming up small bar shows with their New Orleans bordello vibe for a few years now...Miss Mamie Lavona and her band sound like the corrupters who'll take the innocents out after the show and give them hangovers and a case of the clap. "

Bio

New Orleans-style jazz, swing, klezmer, vaudeville and more, my White Boys and I always put on a raucous, diverse, and colorful show. Yes, we play in bars like the Tractor, but we also do weddings, conferences & festivals like Folklife.

Put a little color in your life, try an Exotic Mulatta.

Miss Mamie Lavona the Exotic Mulatta and her White Boys come from theatre, stage, and music background. Drawing from styles such as cabaret, swing, New Orleans-style jazz, klezmer, Balkan, vaudeville and more, Miss Mamie and her Boys are a diverse musical treat. The band began as a trio, in 2005. As the years went by Mamie collected more Caucasian cuties til she had a full stable of six.
