Mista Splurge

With nearly 500,000 streams on SoundCloud alone, Splurge made a name for himself starting in 2014 with tracks such as “Bestfriend", "Diamonds Is Dancin'" and “1500" featuring UnoTheActivist and Pollari. Most notably, Mista Splurge dropped the street anthem “Jerome Jhamal” in July of 2015 and has been seen performing alongside artists such As Lil Yachty. In addition to the music, Mista Splurge is recognized for his unique style. On a given day, he can be seen wearing archive FuBu mixed with designer. FuBu has even acknowledged Splurge’s influence for the brand on their social media. 

Mista Splurge is currently sitting on a stockpile of music and plans to keep on making new tracks in order to allow for more consistent single releases and a debut project in October 2019. 

ABOUT

Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Tamir Blakely aka Mista Splurge saw the struggles of growing up in the hood. With a father that was a street legend and a mother who worked multiple jobs, he had to basically raise himself. As a product of his environment, he was always surrounded by rap music. With his biggest influences being G-Unit, Dipset, State Property, Bad Boy, No Limit and Cash Money. Tamir started rapping at age __ as a way to vent and talk about his experiences. He developed the name “Splurge” over time as a result of the people around him seeing how much he spent on clothes. Stepping out in Newark wearing Margiela, Raf Simons, etc. definitely got him some attention. Keep in mind this was before wearing designer in the hood was a thing. Splurge gives credit to his parents for giving him his unique style and attitude.
