Biography

Mr. 1-2-3-4 is the work of Tim Durland, recording in his Brooklyn apartment, on the slightly less fashionable perimeter of the ultra-hip Williamsburg neighborhood. In the same way that New Order is classic rock, The Cure is Top 40, the Rolling Stones are disco, and Johnny Cash was the original Goth, Tim makes a brand of pop music that blurs categories and defies expectations. He likes to call it Black Bubblegum: often dark but always toe-tapping and catchy.

When performing live, Tim is joined on stage by Chad Bernhard (Things Outside the Skin, The Qualia) on guitar and Valerie Gendusa on bass.
