Introducing Misunderstood. . .
Misunderstood are a new UK Pop/R&B Singing Duo.
After auditioning for ITV 1's number one entertainment shows: Britains Got Talent (2010) and The X Factor (2011)

The South East London duo-graduates of The BRIT School are now standing on their own two feet.

Formed in 2010, Misunderstood consists of two multi talented young men –
Stephan Benson and Jeffrey Okyere, whom together possess the gifted skills
of song writing, vocals and the ability to dance pretty damn good!
Nevertheless, the two guys realised they had a lot more to offer
and together, decided to take on the music scene – pursuing their passions
for singing and song writing and now we have Misunderstood.

So why the name Misunderstood?
Misunderstood - so named because it sums up what the guys feel many young people are. They identify with and speak volumes for the new ‘generation x’ who refuse to be labelled, type cast or constrained by mainstream ideologies and myths.
Setting their own unprecedented agenda-they embrace youthfulness, diversity and change, and exist to bridge the gap between; the old and the new, between, Urban, RnB and Pop!

The boys explained: "Growing up we always had people around us telling us what we couldn't do and restricting us from truly being ourselves. We want to change things through our music and show being ‘Misunderstood’ isn't a bad thing at all, it's what you make of it that counts”.

After having a hectic few months of being opening acts for UK rapper
Chipmunk and US R&B sensation Boyz II Men at the 02 London! The pair have
now released their first promotional single ‘Break Your Neck!’, with an
accompanying visual featuring stand-up comedian Adot.

Serving up youth, grit and hordes of energy, Misunderstood are really
showing us that a public knockdown won’t ever stop them! The boys have a
ever growing fan-base and are currently gearing up to go on a major School tour to raise more awareness
of their brand in and out of London in 2013!
There also gearing up the release of their debue EP which will be released in the early 2013.

Their debue promo single 'Break Your Neck!' speaks about giving 100% to all that you do and never giving up,
the title may have a vicious meaning but that's the twist with Misunderstood.

Misunderstood have been gigging through out the whole of 2012, they've decided to create their own online series
entitled: On The Road with Misunderstood. The 3 part series follows the duo on their every day antics as well as being
swarmed by fans and creating a buzz in and out of London!
