"Artist of the day: Misunderstood Superheroes"

Misunderstood Superheroes are a new band on the Tampa Bay scene. How new? Well, they're actually making their debut Saturday night in New Port Richey.

But their lack of experience as a foursome doesn't mean the hardcore but melodic punk group is wet behind the ears. Bassist Billy James King is the owner and founder of New Port Richey indie label Poverty Records, and singer Josh Hensley, who had played with The Sterling. Drummer Craig Bryant and guitarist Zach Blanquer have played all around Florida, too.

The group's thrashy energy comes through on tracks like Stand Your Ground and single Don't Make Someone a Priority. But they also have a fun side; check out their Less Than Jake-style cover of T.I.'s Whatever You Like for proof. - Tampa Bay Times

Bio

From the very beginning MSH was designed to be headliners. Not your average "small stage" local act, Misunderstood Superheroes seek large stages and utilize every inch of them for the sake of rocking faces off! In simple terms: If you are in a band and have the opportunity to play with MSH, we strongly recommend playing before them. They are a tough act to follow. SERIOUSLY, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!
