Bio

In 2010, a young man, Clarence Mitchell Watson decided to take music seriously and began his rap career.  He shorten his name, being influenced by the character from the movie “Paid in Full”, and every song he recorded was a banga.  This was the birth of the American rapper, “Mitch Banga”.  He already crowned himself, “The Best Rapper in the South”, so beware because this young rapper is coming with some heat.

Mitch Banga is from the 3rd ward in New Orleans, an area known for its harsh environment, which he refers to it as “the bottom of the map”.  Being raised in the 3rd ward was a blessing and a curse for Mitch.  At a young age he was exposed to drugs, gangs, and violence and coming from a place like this he learned early that nothing would be given to him.  Due to Hurricane Katrina, at the age of 12 he was forced to relocate and that’s where he landed in the “Triple D”, Dallas, Texas.  Living outside the N.O. was difficult, so he dived into music to deal with the pain and seeing how rooted in music he was, this wasn’t hard at all.  At an early age of 4, his father was killed in the streets of New Orleans, his mother had to move in with his grandparents to survive, and his grandfather introduced him to music to keep him out the streets.  Outside of those tragic events, Mitch had a great childhood and his grandparents took care of all his needs and wants.  Around the age of 6 is when his grandfather taught him how to play the piano and soon they formed a band.  Mitch played the keys, his grandfather played the guitar, and his uncle played the bass, and together they played old school music, stuff way before Mitch’s time.  He eventually picked up the skill of rapping at the age of 9 and he would write his heart out, and at the age of 16 experiencing those lonely moments Dallas is when he decided to put his real passion behind his music.

His musical influences came from the likes of Lil Wayne, Curren$y, Jay-Z, & Birdman.  Mitch is from the Calliope, the same hood as Master P, which is his greatest inspiration because he was able to see someone achieve so much coming from the 3rd ward.  Seeing Master P & C-Murder riding 4-wheelers thru the hood and the many videos they shot, Mitch knew that was the life he wanted to live.  Since 2014, Mitch has been grinding so hard that he gains great exposure being on the Bigga Rankin G DAY tour.  He opened up for acts like Young Dolph, Rich Homie Quan, Cashout, & Mike Jones, while traveling from Atlanta, Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, & Tampa, and that’s some great exposure for an artist of his caliber.  Mitch has finished up his long awaited project “KINGCLAY”, which will be dropping at the end of the summer and also be on the lookout for his featured single “N2U”.

Mitch is gearing up to get back in the studio with his own production team to create a new sound for his upcoming projects: The HER Project, MOB Rules, & No Religion.  He is also working to create his own label, so get familiar with name TopLifeMusic or better known as “TLM”.  For more information on Mitch Banga go check out the website at, www.TopLifeMusic.org.
