Country-folk songwriter Mitch Brown belongs to a rich hidden tapestry of Australian hobo-singers. Train surfing, busking and thumbing his way around for the past decade has honed an honest voice and some accomplished guitar picking. His sings original songs with the moral vigour of a pre-war troubadour, with contemporary lyricism that may resemble a kind of 21st century swagman.
Most recently he has appeared at Splendour In The Grass, Harvest Festival and Stockmans camp at the National Folk festival as well as sharing stages with Abigail Washburn, Kai Welsh and Jordie Lane.
He is best described by cowboy poet, Waddie Mitchell of Nevada, "the music of an old, clean soul".
