Bio
Fronted by singer/guitarist Mitchell Wilson, The Kerosene Circuit is a string band that brings a new attitude to an old sound. Made up of Mitchell (vocals, rhythm guitar, harmonica), Erin (banjo, bottle neck guitar, lap steel) and Harold (mandolin, lead guitar, harmonica), The Kerosene Circuit takes its name from the route traveled by snake oil medicine shows through the American south in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The entertainers who journeyed with those traveling shows planted the seeds of country, blues, folk and even rock and roll and it's this rich musical heritage that the Circuit draws from. Re-interpreting old-time string/jug band music, early blues, classic country, straight-ahead rock and roll and more contemporary Americana/alternative country, The Kerosene Circuit plays acoustic music with a rock and roll attitude.
