Mixed Culture is a Roots Reggae ensemble first formed in 2006
since its inception mixed culture has been known for its radical roots reggae style and powerful lyrics .
First making there presence known in hollywood with there hypnotic sound mixed culture soon was noticed by the south florida music scene and started doing work at well known music venues such as Jazid , churchills, The culture room, Revolution live ,bayfront park, bardot, arts park, the stage ,will call, propoganda, the arsht center ....... etc .
After many years of playing around mixed culture began gaining recongnition and acclaim for there distinctive sound and poiniont songwriting ,They where soon given oportunities to open for many of the top reggae acts in the world including, Steele Pulse, Midnite, BunnyWailer, Gondwana, Cultura Profetica, toots and the mytals, Marcia Grifiths , I-wayne, Julian Marley , Third World ,Inner Circle, among others ..
And gained recognition by wining the band competition for the jamaican competition Rising Stars . As well has headlining the 24 th annual dayton reggae festival in dayton ohio

Over the years Mixedculture has had many encarnations but has always been known for its musicianship , its raw power and edgy sound never scared to deal with political topics as well as issues of the heart and a deep sense of spirituality.
Now the group has matured into a force of nature, on the verge of the release of there anticipated second album Mixed culture has become the Premier Roots Reggae Act in south florida .
With Bilingual Streams of conciousness as the sun sentinal once put it the band has definitly cemented there place and are looking towards the future bringing there distinctive sound internationally .
