Bio
One of the goals of Mizizi is to recapture the sound of the big reggae bands of the seventies, but in places to inject a little more energy. We aim to do some classic covers that people recognise and a few great tunes they don't, whilst also adding our own finishing touches. We also perform some of our own material. Much of what we do is either in the style of traditional roots or in a slightly more upbeat style that will get people on their feet and produce a great reggae partying atmosphere. We play a variety of rhythms, have several lead vocalists, invite guest singers along, have several soloing instruments, all to keep things varied and interesting. This variety rests on the foundation of solid drum and bass and backed with a powerful horn section.
