MJ Kroll is one of the talented hosts for Twin Cites Radio online. MJ Kroll hosts a showcase of live internet performances twice monthly with some of the best indie artist from the Twin Cities music scene and beyond. MJ performs on each show, books the guest artists, and interviews the artists during the shows. Since September 2009 the shows have included both live audio and live video broadcasts. visit www.mjkroll.com. MJ Kroll is a Minnesota based singer/songwriter and guitarist currently working on her second solo album. Her original songs are candid stories about life and love told through heartfelt lyrics and fresh melodies. Each song takes you on an emotional journey with a landscape of rock, pop, blues, country, and alternative sounds.
MJ Kroll's first full length CD titled "Resonate" is a collection of radio-friendly songs which she recorded and co-produced at Winterland Studios with Producer Todd Fitzgerald. The cd has contributions from nationally-known drummer Noah Levy, award-winning guitarist Dean MaGraw and Foo Fighter's touring violinist Jessy Green. The title track, "Resonate" was co-written with long-time Nashville writer Marc-Alan Barnette. The fourth song on the cd, "Time Will Flow", was previously recorded as part of the "Good Wood" compilation cd to benefit Minnesota food shelves.
Prior to her solo career, MJ Kroll was the lead singer and primary songwriter for Minneapolis indiepop band Beta Lounge. In addition to playing her own music, MJ has covered a variety of other artists including Dido, Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morrisette, U2, Melissa Etheridge, Pretenders, and many more. Whether solo or with her full band, 'MJ Kroll & the Believers', MJ captivates her audience with upbeat music, memorable lyrics, haunting vocals, and a dynamic stage presence.
