MJ Staggs

MJ Staggs is an eclectic, witty, racy, yet laid-back Wave Rap Pop artist from Harlem NYC. Drawing inspiration from the 60's Soul and Rock, 70's Disco, and the 80's Pop, R&B, and Stadium Rock combined with the love of rapping creates MJ's unique, easy to listen to sound. Using personal life experience as a guide for songwriting, MJ's music reflects the highs and lows of an inner city youth in the pursuit of happiness while battling temptations of everyday man in attempts to live right in world abundant in wrong. After the release of his 2012 project Freshrawsushi.com on soundcloud, MJ has been working on a group project with Flyy Quest as the Diet Butchers. With his originality and creativity, as well as the emotion he conveys in his music and performances; cravers of the Wave will be served as he releases tracks and visuals from his anticipated EP entitled MJ Staggs:Present, summer 2013.
