An acoustic duo emerging from their roots in the Midwest, Matthew Michael & Christina Marie approach music with reverence to moment, regard for the past and exploration of the future. From the heartland to the coasts MMCM engages audiences with honest songs expressed in harmonically-rich layers of voices and strings. Both songwriters and multi-instrumentalists with their own perspective, they write independently and collaboratively, complementing and contrasting each other’s creative voice. MMCM is currently touring and in the final stages of production on their first album, set to be released in August 2019.
On April 5th, MMCM (Matthew Michael & Christina Marie) officially released the first track off of their upcoming debut album. Showcasing seamless harmonies and intricate songwriting, the single “Holding On” is both poetic and timeless. MMCM’s music holds with equal weight hard moments of human experience and the hope of overcoming them. They make songs to pause and listen to, inviting listeners to embrace gifts given in the present.
