Mmz (pronounced emmz) was born Marcus L. Mims II in Southampton NY. He was born and raised on long island by his Great grandmother and Mother. At age 15 a friend asked him to get behind the mic and he hasn’t stopped perfecting his entertainment game since.
He’s watched friends come and go in the studio but knows that having talent doesn’t necessarily mean having success. His determination gets him out of bed every morning and drags him downstairs to his well equipped home made studio where he writes and rhymes for hours on end.
Although he feels the road ahead of him will be a long and bumpy one, his love of music fuels the desire to make it in a world where rappers are a dime a dozen, talent is in over abundance and the trappings of a hip hop superstar is just a dream away.
