Still working on that hot first release.

Feeling a bit camera shy

Mo and the Tiger are Tanya Strowger and Matt Baxendale. The two met whilst busking on the streets of Belfast. After working together in a band they began writing new music together and performing as a duo; becoming Mo & The Tiger. After a year’s hard work writing and performing they recorded their debut album in the summer of 2012, choosing to swap their Belfast base for the peaceful inspiration of Cornwall. They worked with a small but well-respected group of musicians and producer to create an album that reflected their distinctive style and performance. Mo and the Tiger’s main aim is to craft meaningful, expressive songs whilst maintaining the excitement and intimacy of live performance, in this respect the pair are noted for their rich harmonies and delicately interwoven guitars. They are influenced by acts such as Damien Rice, David Gray, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell and, most recently, The Civil Wars. Tanya Strowger has a rich musical background, working in bands and as a solo performer gaining experience, reputation and accolades – most recently winning the Ards Guitar Festival Song-writing Competition. Matt Baxendale hails from a strong folk background, plying his trade playing guitar for singers until he met Tanya Strowger and an instant musical connection was born. Mo and The Tiger continue to live and play in Belfast; working to bring their music to ever-expanding audiences.
