Bio
Mike Waters, vocalist, and Scott Pope, bass player, decided to break away from previous projects and unite as an acoustic duo playing at local clubs and venues.
After playing and developing a sound that was fresh and different, Waters and Pope asked Scott Waters to play guitar. Soon after, they added Chad Gibson and his set of drums to the family. In the fall of 2001 MOB was born and ready to grow!
After constant practicing and rehearsing, MOB performed their first show in April 2001. This was followed by shows in the Carolinas and Virginia and substantial time in the studio, preparing their first CD, “One Behind the Ear.”
Following the release of their first CD the band continued to play in Charlotte and surrounding areas. They developed a sound uniquely their own and a fan following that is diverse and energetic.
During the spring and summer of 2003, MOB was in the production room once again, constructing their best CD yet, “Late Again,” featuring the songs “Mr. Gentry” and “New State of Mind” to name a few.
