Bio

Mob has due to their intense and energetic live performances been a major force on the Copenhagen underground scene since 1997. With 3 studio albums and numerous concerts, in both Denmark and Germany (on their continence,) mob has managed to established themselves as one of Copenhagen underground´s most radical bands, with a cult-like status…

(..) Mob plays noise-rock with such an enthutiasmen, that one were to believe they had invented the genre”
-Politiken

Mob is known to be an utmost potent quartet who, with an almost death defying intensity, delivers 200% .
Though the center of mob’s universe is the experimental and melodic noise, the true strength of the band lies in the dynamic form, with which they perform their pieces. Quiet passages are torn apart when a ragged guitar slashes through the silence, builds up a wall of noise, and smashes down upon the listeners.

During the last nine years mob have released 3 discs, all of which have been very positively recieved by critics, both in and outside Denmark. Consequently in 2002 the album ”I Believe in You”, was recognized as one of the best danish releases of the year, and mob as one of the best domestic live performers by danish newspaper BT. Lately, the band has been focusing on germany, where frequent touring has resulted in more than 70 concerts during the last couple of years.

(..) Yet again mob delivers one of the most sinister, noisy and uncompromizing records, this little country has ever known.”
-BT

In January 2007 mob’s 4th release is due. A four track EP which in Denmark will be (published/released) by Quatermain Records. As always it is the love for the poetic noise that centers this work, but where as ”I Believe in You” was conceived over a period of four years, the new material war recorded live in studio in only two days in order to maintain the very special and near restless energy of mob.
