The Shadows sound is a unique blend of Funk/Soul/Rock. A transition from traditional R&B in the last 5 years has resulted in a new bigger audience and a more mainstream sound. Past tours have included bills with such artists as
B.B. King, the Tragically Hip, ZZ Top, Wide Mouth Mason, Randy Bachman etc.
The band has been nominated for 2 Prairie Music Awards and 1 Western Canadian Music Award.
The Shadows have also listed in Calgary magazines, FFWD and Avenue as Calgary's top band.
