Vanity Inc is a Harlem based band, known for their eclectic mix of Dance, Rock, Alternative music styles and lyrics that make you think. Vanity Inc goes one step further, they not only donate a large portion of their time as a band to participate in events like the AIDS walk, Cuves4Change walk and event launch, NYC Cares day, and a midtown LGBT homeless youth shelter, they also donate a portion of every sale to charity. In addition to volunteering as a band, lead singers Danie and Lex also volunteer in NYC seperatly, and encourage their friends and family to come out and join in their efforts. Currently they have their single "Tie Me Up" for sale on iTunes. Do your good deed today: a portion of every sale goes to charity.
Currently Vanity Inc has entered in the "Converse Presents: Get Out of the Garage Music Contest." The grand prize is a chance to be the opening act on the six-city Get Out Of The Garage Music Tour, an opportunity to record their album in a professional studio and $10K worth of music gear from Guitar Center. A vote a day will help push this band into the next round, and will help spread their mission; to change the world with their music, time, and money.

Modeling and Music are huge passions in my life and rather than keeping my passions apart, I’ve decided to merge those two things together.
I started playing the piano when I was 5. Music became my primary form of expression right away. I was a pretty awkward kid growing up and I most often had my nose in a book. I had acne and was pretty chubby, but I found that whenever I was playing music I felt like I fit in. I started singing and performing in musicals when I was 10 and I started playing the flute when I was in Middle School… (yes, I went to band camp.) I joined my first rock band in High School and started writing music. Since then, I haven’t stopped. I moved to New York in 2006 in pursuit of my dream of music, and have been writing ever since. I am currently working on my first album as a solo artist.
After moving to New York, I started modeling for fun. Mostly 1940s style Vintage Pin-Up and artistic shoots for friends of mine. Spending that time in front of the camera helped me to gain some confidence in my own skin. Although I had been playing sports since Middle School and was very athletic, I was always plus size. Over the years I had gained some confidence, but it wasn’t until I started modeling that I really started to appreciate my shape. After realizing how much I loved modeling I started working on building a portfolio. I had the opportunity to work behind the scenes with OneStopPlus.com as the Social Media Liaison and learned a lot behind the scenes. I was signed by IPM Model Management in 2011 and have been continually blessed with watching my career grow.
So I will continue to pursue my passions in life. Although I never would have expected to be in New York, having met the amazing people I’ve met, I am here living my dreams. I’ve always tried to take any opportunity that presents itself, and have found that the more open I am to these opportunities the more come my way. As my Momma always says best:
