The sound of Mode Plagal (Thodoris Rellos - sax / vocals, Kleon Antoniou - guitars / vocals, Florian Mikuta - keyboards, Antonis Maratos - Bass, Takis Kanellos - Drums) is a combinationc of Greek, Balkan, Mediterranean and African - American musical influences. For the past 2 decades, the group has formed an innovative musical idiom that has gained great popularity both in Greece and across the national borders.
Their work has gained great popularity both in Greece and across the national borders and their records received critical acclaimed, being also voted in the WMCE charts (2000 and 2002).
The group, a dynamic live band, has given numerous concerts and has appeared in many festivals in Greece and abroad (Turkey, UK, Italy, the Netherlands and elsewhere).
