"Modern Faces do rock n scrolls"

MODERN Faces are stepping up their quest for chart glory with a corking new tune.
And the boys from Dunfermline, Scotland, even have an ace video to go with it.

Pravda Scrolls is another no-nonsense slice of unapologetic rock 'n' roll, with nods to both Oasis and their pals Kasabian.

The group – Lee Montgomery, Gary Heaney, Jamie MacFarlane, Michael O'Reilly and Jamie Shields – have been knocking on the doors of record labels for a while now, and they've been rewarded with a top gig at This Feeling in London on October 28.
This summer they swung by The Sun HQ to perform a Biz Session, and singer Lee – known as Monty – recalled the surreal moment Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan invited Modern Faces to support them on the road.

He said: "At first we thought it was a wind up.

"When we realised it was for real we were buzzing."

Tom has heaped praise on the quintet, saying: "Modern Faces remind me of us when we were young, ready and willing to do whatever it takes for the thrill of being in a rock 'n' roll band."

"Modern Faces debut single"

“Keep an eye on these modern faces. Top tune. ” The Sun

Dunfermline 5-piece indie rockers Modern Faces will release their debut single, a double A-side release of ‘Pravda Scrolls’ / ‘Cynical Brother’ on 9th April through Dirty Love Recordings.

Modern Faces embody the young excitement, angst and debauchery of any true Rock ‘n’ Roll band in the making. The group grew up in the Scottish town Dunfermline and the five friends comprise of: Monty (vocals and guitar), Gary (drums and backing vocals), Jamie (bass), Mike (lead guitar) and Shields (keys). They formed in 2010n with the goal of merging their Rock ‘n’ Roll, Britpop and Motown influences to make truly great music.

The debut single release of ‘Pravda Scrolls’ and ‘Cynical Brother’ gives the perfect taste of the bands future. The double A-side has been released on their own label, Dirty Love Recordings. ‘Pravda Scrolls’ is a politically driven indie anthem full of brooding, intense vocals and dark guitars, while ‘Cynical Brother’ has a punchy, heavier sound and epic vocals. Modern Faces are inspired by bands like Oasis, The Verve and The Stone Roses, all of which are evident in their strong indie rock sound.

Modern Faces have played their own headline shows, aswell as supporting the likes of Kasabian and The Charlatans and will be touring further this year.

The band are currently in the studio working on their debut album which will be released later this year and promises to resurrect good old-fashioned British Rock ‘n’ Roll, so be ready!
