Modest1, aka Jeff Turner, is a new face when it comes to the East Coast DJ scene but is quickly making a name for himself. And that name is simply “The Modest1?. Claiming the name was given to him during a jam with friends one night and just seemed to stick this 32 year-old Saint John native blurs the line between Grimy House and Nu Skool Breaks with flashes of Dub/Electro. Modest1 has an upbeat style with a Big Beat sound combined with an epic stage presence that will keep you pumping your fist and wanting more.
In the last year alone he has played to crowds at various venues and clubs but made his festival debut at last years Sunseekers Ball to a very receptive and impressed crowd. Since this he has acquired a residency at The Canterbury Lounge, one of Saint John, N.B newest and most upscale nightclubs,on friday nights with his good friend and fellow Vinyl Pilot DJ Bbadd.
