Boston three piece Modesta are more than swoon worthy on recent song Magnet, drawing me in with a soulful brand of alt pop so creamy smooth it leaves me swaying in full on inebriation as I glide my way all across my living room. Magnet is a soothing groover and the opening track off the trio’s Three EP, out now on Apple Music. You can also stream the EP in full on Soundcloud. -
On “Magnet”, Boston trio Modesta mesh silky R&B with guitar-rock that never gets too loud. This is a good thing, as there’s nothing overpowering the soulful vocals and falsetto that recall Adam Levine from the early days of Maroon 5 (minus the piano and pop sheen).
The rest of their new album, Three has more muscular moments (“Strut”), but still showcases clean vocals. Other album cut, “Purple of the Sea” is nostalgic, sprucing up a classic rock ballad structure with atmospheric guitars and pulsing drums. Listen to both below. - Obscure Sound

singular love for the art of music creation. Modesta began its
musical journey with the EP "Three", rooted in its 3 founding members.

contemplative spirituality, to even darker, mysterious musical places.
