"Out-rocks"

“Out-rocks a lot of what's on FM radio." - Chris Riemenschneider, Minneapolis Star Tribune

"Hits the bull's eye"

ModiFY seem to hit the bull's eye that bands like Creed, Nickelback and Puddle of Mudd are shooting for, but always missing. Not that I can peg ModiFY in the Hard Rock or Nü-Metal genre. On the contrary, they seem to bridge almost every sub-genre of rock I've heard over the past ten years, sans rap-core. What does that mean? The answer is mass appeal, baby. Despite my indie-hipster scruples telling me to hate this because I'll be seeing them on MTV2 next year, I love ModiFY. This stuff is radio ready and ready to please. If there's any justice in this world, we'll all be hearing more from this band in the future. See you at their next show! - Archie Rex, Demorama.com

"Truly Exceptional"

After receiving this band's EP, all I can say is they have created an absolutley amazing selection of original songs. I've reviewed hundreds of rock bands over the years, and ModiFY is not a great band, but are a truly exceptional band. The guitar, drums, and vocals are excellent. All of the songs on the EP have memorable lyrics and melodies, and the lead vocalist has a clean, crisp, powerful voice. If you asked me who this band sounds like, I'd have to say they sound very original - not like anyone already signed. They have a fresh new rock sound. It's very hard for me to believe that the major lables have not found this band yet.
After listening to the EP, I loved the song, "In This Death I've Lived" - it has all the making of being a hit rock song. The vocals are smooth and the music is unique. "Revive" is a hard ass radio ready rock tune. "There's Nothing Out There" is a nice track with a memorable chorus. - Jimmy Sullivan (IQ Demo Review) - March 2004 - IQ Demo Review
